- After book a consultation, what happens?
- You will receive a confirmation of your appointment time. Please have any questions you have regarding therapy services ready for the consultation call.
- What should I expect after the 15min consultation?
- This will be discussed during consultation. Consultation is brief quick get to know session. It helps to have any questions ready at this time.
- How long will our sessions last?
- Consultations are 15mins or less. Therapy sessions are 50minutes.
- Can I cancel or reschedule my appointment?
- Yes, you may cancel or reschedule your appointment by texting or calling me by phone. I require a 24Hr notice or you will be charged a cancellation fee. The cancellation policy is outlined in more detail in the intake paperwork.
- How and when do I pay for my sessions?
- I only accept payments through the use of Square POS. I require a credit/debit card be kept on file for payment of sessions, late cancellations or no-show fees. I will email you an electronic invoice for payment request. Your receipt will be emailed to you.
- Will what we discuss in my sessions be kept confidential?
- Absolutely! Confidentiality is foundation of the therapist/client relationship. I will not disclose what we discuss without your written permission. By law, here are the exceptions:
- Suspected child or elder abuse. (I am mandated to report this.)
- Risk of harm to self (I must ensure client safety.)
- Risk of harm to others (Duty to warn victim)
- Court-ordered subpoena (signed by a judge)
- Can we connect on social media?
- I happily invite you to connect to my business Facebook here or my business Instagram here, however my counseling code of ethics requires that I set professional boundaries which means that I cannot be friends with you online or in real life. Friends support and care for each other….our therapeutic relationship is one-way and is all about me supporting and caring for you.
